Lead with PRIDE
Pathways of Pride
At the heart of Fresno State’s mission is access: ensuring that every talented, determined student has the opportunity to pursue higher education, regardless of background or circumstance. Pathways of Pride will expand access and create pipelines for the next generation of leaders who will uplift the Valley and influence the world. When we open doors, we ignite futures.
To bring this vision to life, Fresno State is advancing a set of transformative initiatives that expand opportunity and build pathways connecting students with success. Each initiative within Pathways of Pride underscores our commitment to opening access to higher education and to the resources and relationships that help students thrive and lead.
Pathways of Pride initiatives include:
The Veterans Education Program at Fresno State offers a supportive, nine-month pathway that guarantees admission as a degree-seeking student. With small classes, dedicated faculty, and zero cost to participants, veterans can save their GI Bill benefits while preparing for a successful future. This initiative is led by Continuing and Global Education.
Bulldog Bound is Fresno State’s guaranteed admissions program, giving Valley students a clear path to college as early as ninth grade. Through school district and community college partnerships, it provides guidance, resources, and experiences that prepare students for success and a seamless transition to university life.
This initiative, led by the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, is fueling enrollment growth and creating a scalable model for expanding college access nationwide.

“My future is in my hands now. I was nervous about that, but Fresno State [and Bulldog Bound] made me so confident. The resources and people, the community here makes me less scared. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.”
